Shipping Policy :

Marking and Packing :
All products are marked with lot no, size, grade, degree and our trademark. Products are packed to confirm that there is no damage during transit. We assure timely delivery of the product but subject to the availability of the stock. Additionally, to ensure safer shipping products are packaged in Wooden crates/pallets/boxes, Shrink-wrapped and Carton boxes. In case of export orders, standard export packaging is done in wooden cases and on special requests from clients, we can make custom markings on products.

01What are alloy steel plates (A387 / SA 387), and where are they used?
These alloy steel plates contain chromium and molybdenum with small amounts of silicon, manganese and aluminium. Chromium improves oxidation and corrosion resistance, and the grades are used for boilers and pressure vessels. Our range covers A387 / SA 387 grades 5, 9, 11, 12, 22 and 91 in Class 1 and Class 2, plus alloy steel grade plates.

03What is the difference between Class 1 and Class 2 in A387 plates?
Both classes share the same chemistry for a given grade. Class 2 is supplied with higher tensile strength than Class 1, which is usually reflected in the heat treatment. Choose the class your pressure-vessel or boiler design code calls for. Send us the grade, class and thickness and we will confirm what is in stock.
04What is the difference between ASTM A387 and ASME SA 387?
SA 387 is the ASME-adopted version of the ASTM A387 specification, and the two are normally supplied against the same technical requirements. Always state on your enquiry which designation your drawings, code and certificate need, and we will match the certificate to it.
05Do you supply Alloy Steel Plates in customised sizes and cut to size?
Yes. We supply alloy steel plates in customised sizes, grades and in numerous dimensions. Send us the thickness × width × length, grade and quantity, and tell us if you need the plate cut to a drawing. Cutting is done through our plasma cutting and wear plate cutting services.
06Which certificates and test reports are supplied with Alloy Steel Plates?
We supply a manufacturer test certificate as per EN 10204 / 3.1B, a 100% radiography test report, a raw materials certificate and a third party inspection report. On the buyer’s request we also provide documentation such as the commercial invoice, fumigation certificate, heat treatment chart, quality assurance plan, packing list, raw material test report and material traceability report.
07What is the delivery time for Alloy Steel Plates?
We give the delivery schedule when we quote, because it depends on the quantity and type of product ordered. Orders may take up to 5–10 business days in transit. If a product is out of stock, orders may take up to 2–4 weeks to ship, and we will tell you if this happens.
