The European steel standard well known for pressure vessel purposes is EN 10028-2 which includes chrome moly plates.

The overall designation of the standard is "flat products made of steels for pressure purposes.

Non-alloy and alloy steels with detailed improved temperature properties.

Chrome moly material grades with various portions of chromium and molybdenum.

Extensively equal to the ones inside the American standard ASME SA387 and ASTM A387

In plain terms: EN 10028-2 is titled “Flat products made of steels for pressure purposes – Part 2: Non-alloy and alloy steels with specified elevated temperature properties”. Its chrome moly grades are broadly comparable to ASTM A387 / ASME SA387 grades, but not equal: the two standards differ in requirements and testing, so one cannot replace the other without approval. The tables list seven grades; 16Mo3, 13CrMo4-5 and 10CrMo9-10 have their own pages, and the others can be requested.

Grade names are shown in capitals; in the standard they are written 16Mo3, 13CrMo4-5, 13CrMoSi5-5, 10CrMo9-10, 12CrMo9-10, X12CrMo5 and X10CrMoVNb9-1. These are cast (ladle) analysis limits; product analysis tolerances also apply. The inspection document shows the actual heat analysis.
